YOUR INFORMATION
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
1. Who is responsible for your information
Suddenly Responsible is a trading name of Debra Bell, a sole trader. Debra Bell is responsible for the personal information covered by this policy.
For privacy questions, email hello@suddenlyresponsible.co.uk.
2. Information we may collect
- Your name, email address and account details.
- Purchase, payment-status and product-access records. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Messages you send us, including support, cancellation or complaint correspondence.
- Technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser type, device information and security logs.
- Your choices and notes in the free website tools, as explained below.
Please avoid sending us medical records or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for us to deal with your request.
3. Notes stored on your device
The free website tools use your browser's local storage to remember your selected situation and any names, roles or notes you add to “The people around you”. These details stay in that browser on that device. They are not sent to our server by those tools and do not follow you to another device.
You can remove them by deleting the entries in the tool or clearing this site's stored data in your browser. Anyone who can use the same browser profile may be able to see them, so do not enter information you would not want another device user to read.
4. How and why we use information
5. Who we share information with
We use trusted providers to run the website, checkout, payment processing, digital product access, email and technical support. They may process information only as needed to provide those services, protect them or comply with law.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or another organisation involved in a business sale or reorganisation where the law permits or requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we use an approved safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or contractual protections, and take appropriate steps to protect the information.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including providing access, responding to issues and meeting legal, accounting and tax requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of record and any dispute or legal obligation.
Information held only in your browser's local storage remains there until you or the browser removes it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive certain information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Email hello@suddenlyresponsible.co.uk to exercise a right. We may need to confirm your identity.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
10. Children
Suddenly Responsible is intended for adults. We do not knowingly sell access to the paid area to anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or legal duties change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its revision date.
